Janifa,

Thanks for writing in. My wife, Julia Wade, found the song during one of her many searches for music to sing each weekend. She explores a lot of International music on the web and fell in love with the spirit and message of the song. I do know this. It comes from South Africa and I believe was originally written in Zulu. As to the arrangement used, it us my own subtracted from several versions that I had heard over the past year.

There's probably a lot about the song if you Google it on the web. Let me know what else you find out.

Thanks,

Peter

dear Pete!
wonderful song/ project.
am interested in how/where you found the song?
also which arrangement you used (for the first part at least?)
it is gorgeous.
do you know anything about the history of the song...where it comes from...
would love to know more.

many thanks

Hi Bob,
Great to see both you and Nancy on Sunday. Thanks for reading. Also you might check out Installment #4 which tries to clarify the visionary work that Norm Bleichman did on the project.

Pete, I just viewed your most amazing annual meeting video again for the 3rd time, after fininshing up the 3rd installation of your blog posting. What an effort! What extraordinary results! And what a blessing!! Music is indeed the universal healing language that unites us all in divine expression. Nancy and I are so grateful to you and to TMC Executive Board for this beautiful gift to us all.

Also, it was lovely to get reacquainted with you briefly today. And to see lovely Julia as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

The performance brought tears to my eyes when I saw it as part of the annual meeting broadcast. The account of the making of it did it again. Thankyou for this beautiful work.
